Throwback: Steam Punk Stage Design

Philip Cox from Potential Church in Cooper City, FL brings us this steam punk stage design idea. (Originally posted November 2013)

Their pastor, Troy Gramling, got inspired during the summer to do a series based around the subject of STEAM, Mastering the Art of Pressure. So he cast vision for them to steampunk everything.

They brainstormed and this is what they came up with. All the gears were laser cut styrofoam. The fans (they work) were made out of cheap ceiling fans from Home Depot and they just painted and attached larger blade to the blades that come on the fan. The blades were cut out of sign board. They bought string lights from Ikea and attached plastic chains (spray painted gold) for hanging lights.

If you’re interested in buying it, leave a comment for Philip. He has no idea where to store it and wants to get maximum use from the set.

I’m very interested in talking to you about the steampunk design pieces…
I contact you thru your church site info as well.
Our design team that I head is looking to do the VERY same look for a new series…

  2. Absolutely amazing! I have been looking for gears like that for awhile. I would definitely be interested in possibly purchasing some of them for our Kids Zone renovation. We are going for the industrial look and feel. These would be PERFECT!!!!
