Laurah Sims from Faith Baptist Church in Bartlett, TN brings us these golf umbrella chandeliers from their Christmas production last year.
They lined their whole back wall with red fabric then added faux pillars and windows to change the look of their back wall. They lit the pillars with color changing LED lights to add a splash of color.
Finally, they added these chandeliers using golf sized umbrellas with Christmas lights inside. They covered the umbrella frames with a translucent theater material. And there you have them!
Wow! Those are reall great! The umbrella chandeliers! Can you tell me how you did it? Just the basics…I am fairly handy! Thanks, Eric
Get a golf size umbrella. Take off the material. Tkae white Christmas lights and start draping them from the bottom of the umbrella frame up to the handle. You can attach it with duct tape. Then take your material and cut out a large circular piece to cover the bottom of the frame. You can do this by hot glue or tape. Next, cut triangular pieces for each section of the umbrella, letting it overlap each other on the sides and on the bottom a little. You can staple here and there if you need. Lay in some LED lights inside along the bottom and attach to frame with tape. Add some beads along the edge and you are done.
