Torrey Peterson from First Baptist Dexter in Dexter, MO brings us this cool use of Coroplast for a star and projection wall.
They used clear Coroplast attached to the front of the choir risers and then lit it with four LED bars. Coroplast was also used to create a video wall behind the choir. Torrey used three NEC NP-UM351W ultra short throw projectors with a Matrox TripleHead2Go for projection. Their building manager made a life size manger out of pallet wood. The star was constructed out of Coroplast, gorilla tape, and hot glue. It was 16 X 14 feet and backlit with an LED strip.
So proud to have Torrey on staff. He does a fabulous job. Loving our First Baptist Church.
Absolutely beautiful design! I would love to have some details on the coroplast build for the video wall, dimensions, etc….
Great work!
Hey Keith it was pretty simple. Just a 2×4 frame attached to the back wall with 7-4×8 sheets of white coroplast attached to it, so it came out to 8ft high and 28ft wide.
Can you please give more details on how the star was made?
