Stage Designs

Projection Wall

Brendan Kendall from Cross Point Church in Paola, KS brings us this awesome double-wide projection screen for their stage.

Using the current trussing frame they had from a previous design, the remaining materials were purchased.

Materials:

They used 2×4’s to create a base at the bottom of the screen. Then they screwed the grommets to the 2×4’s to allow them to hook the bungees to it rather than screw into the stage.

They drilled angle iron onto the ceiling to create a bracket to mount the projectors to.

Once “construction” was completed, the remaining technical work was done by alignment grids, and through the purchase of ProPresenters Edge Blending Module and Matrox’s Triple Head to Go to allow seamless images and control through ProPresenter itself.

Looks awesome! About how far are the projectors from the screens?

Looks amazing! Where did you purchase the rear projectors from?

Do you use FlexiGray Projection Screen or Carl’s White Rear Projection Screen – Finished-Edge Projector Screen with Grommets? What is different? and Distance between two projectors?

Thank you for sharing your design. Are you 100% pleased with your projector choice? Trying to decide on some short throws to get a similar setup.

  5. It looks awesome in the photos.

Did you find it bright enough without lighting your stage dimly, as in a theater, or did it stand up to normal stage lighting?

Are you aware of any other ultra short throw projectors that are brighter than 4000 lumens, without spending $10,000 or more?

    Thanks for your help!

Also, where did you get the trussing? Thanks!

Where did you get the trussing and which rear screen did you choose? Grey or white?

  11. Darnell says:

How many projector did you buy? One or Two?

I reached out to Carl’s place, they said they don’t carry the 10 x 25 dimensions for rear screen projections. Did you join to pieces together via a seamstress? Would love you be able to recreate this :)
