This design comes to use from Matt Ludik at Grace Family Church in Durban, South Africa. To accomplish this easy and effective design, they bought 6 lengths of 3m x 900mm ‘cloudy white’ corrugated fiberglass from a local hardware store. Then they punched holes in it, and hung them up between their screens.
They back-lit it with 2 LED par cans per sheet, from a very low angle. It took less than 2 man-hours to put together, and cost $250(eqiv.) in materials. Matt says if they had to do it again they would have bought more sheets, and braced each sheet vertically down the middle to prevent ‘bowing’ that occurred after a week-or-so.
I love it. Did you poke holes in the entire fiberglass panel or only in the four corners to hang it up?
