Bryan Ferree from Church at the Cross in Orlando, FL brings us this great LED tape design.

Bryan started by adding an additional 40ft of truss above their stage and hanging 6 movers and 8 wash lights. He already had 40ft of truss existing, and he hung 9 wash lights on that. His team built a drum riser and a keyboard riser, both with 3 wash lights uplighting on them. He built 13 hotboxes (his name for them). They were made out of steel studs and LED tape. Each box was individually controlled. He already owned all of the truss and wash lights for this project, but everything else he had to purchase. His budget for this project was $1,000 but he went over about $300. So it was between $1,300-$1,400 to accomplish this.

Also what do you use to be able to control the LED tape? This is something I’ve always wanted to do but never understood how to get the computer to talk to the LED tape.
