Homemade Fireplace Prop

Stephen Fisher from Calvary Chapel Albany in Albany, Western Australia brings us this lounge-able living room scene.

They made the fireplace out of a box frame—covering it with paper and painting the bricks on. They added a couple of lounge chairs, some fake snow made out of wool insulation, a few cheap Christmas trees, and a projector displaying a window with falling snow.

The stage design cost them less than $100 to put together.

Fire Place: $30 (Paint and Paper)
Projector Image: $6
Christmas Trees: $60

Hey, great set up! Where did you but the sheep’s wool. I goggled it and the only colors I am finding are beige and brown, not white. Thanks.

  2. Rebecca Morton says:

How many boxes and and what type of paper did you use for the fireplace?
