Grunge is What We Aim For

Adam Neal from Seven Marks Church in Raleigh, NC brings us this grungy MMA look for their “The Challenge” series.

They started by using six foot chain link fence to cover the walls of the stage. Then they used slanted foam pieces that they splatter spray painted with a straw (blown through a straw).

Adam used orange duck tape to accent the foam pieces and the front of their stage. To add some texture, he sponge painted the tape to blend it.

They used bubble wrap to surround the drum riser with small LED lighting to accent.

Adam ordered some white 6′ tall foam pieces to use as the fence padding. They spray painted them black and wrapped them with more orange tape.

The total cost was around: $1000.

This looks cool…who would have thought to use chain link fence on a stage! Great job!
