Blake Hobbs from First Church in Birmingham, Alabama brings us these glowing boxes of words.
To create these he and his tim used stencils to cut words out of cardboard boxes. They painted the boxes black, and put LED lights inside them. They changed the words each week, then painted the boxes white for Easter. To make the words pop, they painted the inside of the boxes white so the lights would reflect better.
A lot of work! Great job, Blakers!
what kind of LED's were used?
It looks awesome by the way!!
we used LED RAIN 64 and Chauvet Color Bars
Great design! Did you cut the bottoms out of the boxes or just fold the sides in?
Hi Jason! Here's a response from Blake:
Some we cut, some we folded. It Depended on the box size and what we could sit the box on. We did use black gorilla tape to block any light coming out of the bottom when we did cut them.
