Blackout Letters

Thomas Peraza from MCE Church Copiague, New York brings us this use of foam letters.

They used styrofoam to make the letters “STAND for you are anointed”. They painted them with water based neon paint from Michael’s. They cut out the letters inside then lined the back of the foam with black paper to black it out.

Then they stacked moving boxes and lit them from two different angles so they could get two different colors to show up on the boxes.
They used slim par lights and black lights to make the neon paint glow, and we used spandex fabric to make the two screens.
