Wreaths-and-Walls

Wreaths and Walls

Michael Cokerham from Currey Creek in Boerne, Texas brings us these five Christmas walls.

They started this stage design with 5 panel wall elements. They constructed them using 2X2 lumber instead of 2X4 to cut back on weight. The panels were 4’X8′ with studs every 12″ they used to attach their cedar fencing material horizontally which they cut in 2′,3′ and 4′ lengths and applied in a random pattern. Once the panels were complete, they stained them with a semi-transparent stain and used 2X4’s to create legs so they would stand.

Once the panels were up and set on the stage, ladies in their church hung 5 wreaths with red burlap and tied burlap bows on the wreaths.

They also used 9 pine trees that were lit with LED Christmas lights. They also layered white burlap around the base of the trees.

I love the simplicity of this! Nice look! Great job!

    • Thank you so much, we are honored to share our design. we have removed the christmas stuff and rearranged the panels and are working on another design. hopefully it will work out nice also, thanks again.

  2. This is beautiful and versatile. Great job.
Is there a picture of the 2 x 4 legs so I could see how they stand?

I don’t think I have a picture of that. However we created them with an A frame design and that causes the walls to lean back a little bit and helps them balance.

I cut a short leg that lays on the floor behind it then cut one twice as long to connect to the end then back up to the wall creating the A frame.
