Wood Screens

Mike Riess from Antioch Community Church in Waco, Texas brings us these real wood projection screens.

One of their creatives, @JadyGriffin, decided to throw up some cool pinewood squares to use as texture for their stage.

Rather than lighting them they used a projector to project logos onto the squares. Cool look!

Awesome look! How does it look with Bible verses, song lyrics, ect?

Same question I had. Looks great but how does it look with more letter n stuff

    Wow. Just. Amazing.

BTW – they are cedar, not pine. Heavy, too… so we used real hardware (wire rope/thimbles/clips, shackles, turnbuckles, forged eyebolts, forged chain) to put it together & hang it.

The planks are nailed to a frame made of 2x4s ripped in half, and held in compression like theater flats (hardware attaches to the bottom rail, not the top). Learned a lot about the right way to hang things on this project!
