Waves in the Sand

The volunteers from Fellowship Church‘s downtown campus in Dallas, TX brings us this very desertish stage design.

They bought some very large sheets of thick foam.  Then they simply cut patterns into the sheets using a hot knife. The patterns resemble wind patterns on desert sands. Very cool!

Then they hung the sheets of foam from the ceiling grid using large zip ties. They lit them from the top and bottom with LED lighting to get the two color gradient look and play with the shadows and grooves.

Great job guys! Simple, effective, cheap, and most of all beautiful!

Love it! And love Fellowship Church! I used to attend at the Miami campus when I lived there. What type of foam exactly did you use and where did you get it from? Thanks!

If I may ask, what was the total cost?
