Eric Alexander from Biltmore Baptist Church in Arden, NC brings us these arrow towers.
This was a design for their Traction series to represent tire treads. The material was Coroplast cut into chevrons that he had Fast Signs cut for him out of 4 sheets. They were 8″ tall by 3′ wide. The total cost of this project was a little over $300.
It was hung from the top trusses by high test fishing line and black “jack” chain between the chevrons. It was lit with 4 Chauvet COLORado 1 Tour LED pars.
Looks good. I love coroplast and sticking to the theme in a non-abstract way is awesome!
Thanks Brandon! I try to keep the backdrop pieces with the series but unfortunately I still have to go generic sometimes to keep from losing my mind with some of the more abstract series titles.
I really like the pieces you have for the band to stand on and behind. Can you give me some details on how you built those and what materials you used? Thanks!
We didn’t build the risers. They were built by Cinemation Design. They are made of aluminum frames with open sides where we put Mylar held up with Velcro. The tops are 3/4″ plywood.
