Stage Designs

Trapezoids

Alfred Effah Wiafe from Glorious Zion Ministries International in Obuasi, Ghana brings us this great stage redesign.

A new church building was being constructed, so they were tasked to design a temporary stage set for a conference in November.

They covered the wall with 1/2 inch plywood and 2” by 2” wooden buttons bought from a local wood supplier. They painted the wooden cover with black emulsion paint purchased from Accra.

They covered the wall with black cotton fabric to give it a smooth and flat finish. Then they purchased styrofoam panels and painted them with art paint (metallic gold). They created a pattern with the styrofoam panels around the projector screen area and built angled light boxes and placed them in front of the wall.

The light boxes had to be braced to the wall to prevent them from falling due the to the nature of their shapes.
