Toxic Industry

Mike Campbell from Esoteric Visions with Valley Church in Virginia brings us this toxic industrial look.

The main background was cut out of 1/8″ masonite. The grid was made from latticework. Then the barrels were just drums with pieces cut out of them. Finally the ‘fans’ were just luan cutouts backed by a 1×2 frame covered in white spandex. Overall they were going for an industrial look.

The lighting rig was 4 Chauvet DJ Scanners, 6 ColorKey StagePAR64 LED, and 8 American DJ Megapixel LED units. In addition the barrels each had an American DJ pinspot in them.

  2. Is that the Klingon symbol on the right side of the stage? Was this a star trek series?

  3. Mike says:

Yeah, those are biohazard signs. The guys at Valley Church did some great work on this one, and they were a joy to work with.

How were the barrels cut out?
