Stage Designs

Subtly Lit

Ben Stapley from South Ridge Community Church in Clinton, NJ brings us this antique light stage design.

They wanted a quick and easy look that could work for a couple of different message series and ended up going with these antique lights from Amazon. To make sure you could see the filament, they used $12 dimmers and dimmed them all the way down. They hung some of the lights on $15 triple socket cords and borrowed as many floor/table lamps as they could to save money.

Calvary Church Souderton PA let them borrow bulb stands from one of their past stage designs.

  1. Matthew says:

How did you make the lights that are basically a stand-alone pole with just the vintage light bulb at the top? The one i’m referring to is like the 5th picture from the bottom in this article.

How do you do the hanging bulbs? Really like the effect and I’ve seen it before, but don’t know how to achieve it. How much did this project cost you?
