Stained Paper Panels

Patrick Fore from Journey Church in Norman, Oklahoma combined his passion for Illustrator and Photoshop with some stage design savvy to create these cool panels. (originally posted June 2010)

He used Epson Backlit Paper (3’x100′ roll) through his wide format printer to create the paper patterns, then attached them to black wooden frames.

He created 5 frames that were 36″x90″ and 6 frames that were 24″x36″ made from 1 1/2 inch studs. He then scattered them around the stage and backlit them with LED lights.

Is there a way that we could see what his original design looked like in Photoshop? This looks amazing!

    Hi Patrick,
I just saw this stage set and love it. We are going to be doing a series called “The Church: Isn’t She Beautiful”. We would like to produce the panels. I’m new at this so can you walk me through how to get the prints printed on the backlit paper and where to order the paper from?

    Love this design! Great job!

  15. Deb and anyone else interested…

I downloaded the pdfs above and sent them to MegaPrint.com to be printed on vinyl called backlit crystal laminate. Pricey but I’ll get a display image 36″ x 60″. I’ll make the frame and it will attach them with velcro. A lot of work went into those images above and this guy appreciates your work Patrick…keep them coming!

    Richard
