Stage Gown

Jessica Herzanek from Rocky Mountain Christian Church in Niwot, CO brings us this stage design that looks like a gown at a ball.

Purchased Supplies:
Five 25′ long chains – $100
Nylon String – $7

On Hand Supplies:
White Backdrop Curtain
Marbles

Process:
They began by weaving the top of the drape in and out of the bar to create the initial draped sections of the curtain. From there they attached the 5 chains by wrapping it around the top bar and secured it to itself using an open chain link. From there they began to gather it up at each chain starting about 3′ from the top bar. To do this they had a person in front of the curtain and a person behind the curtain. The one in front pressed a marble (you could use a pebble or something around the same size) into the curtain, the person behind was able to pinch it and tie the curtain around the marble. Then using that, they pulled up the curtain about 18″ and tied it to the chain. They continued this process five more times down the curtain.

Probably one of the best backdrops/curtains. Super simple, but very dramatic and enticing! GREAT JOB!

Looks amazing! What did you use to light the fabric? Lighting positions? Instrument type? :)
