Stable

Vaughn VanSkiver from Victory Highway Wesleyan Church in Painted Post, NY brings us this Christmas stable.

They built this stable two years ago out of barn beams and barn boards. They put it in storage, labeled all of the parts like a huge puzzle, and used it again this year.

They used sheep in the pens to add some reality to the set. The roof was thatched with ornamental grasses. They hid the drums that were used in their opening song by wrapping them in black cloth to hide the LED Par 64 beneath the drums and then wrapped over that with burlap to tie in with the stable feel. They also covered their monitors with burlap.

They used cornmeal on the drum heads and put the LED pars on “sound sensitive mode”.

It took their Stage Design Team and some other volunteers over 100 man hours to put it back together.
