Have you seen the stage setup for the Fray’s concert at Webster Hall in New York? It’s an awesome, unconventional approach that could be easily used in a small-to-medium sized church venue. Instead of traditional intelligent lights and par cans, they used simple antique lamps, chandeliers, and light bulbs to create a more intimate and unique live setting.
Joel Wojcik used over 50 lighting fixtures using 50 to 100 watt light bulbs.
Check out Live Design Online for more info on the stage design.
They filmed a live DVD with this stage design, so check out the “Live from Webster Hall” videos from iTunes.

Yes! I submitted a similar design using lamps. It didn’t meet the standard. So glad, though, that your’s got selected because this is such a simple and cheap way to get an amazing effect…regarldless of church or budget size. Great job!
