Go Fish

Ken Neff from Christ Central in Lake City, FL brings us this fun theme for their children’s ministry.

The boat was an old fiberglass mold that was discarded by another church years ago, then rolled with a 4 inch roller in two different tones of brown to look like wooden planks. The dock was made from 6″ inch x 8ft fence posts cut in thirds, then framed out with recycled 2×4’s. The dock planks were spaced out with clothes pins, to keep it consistence. The fish were merely styrofoam board traced out and painted to keep every kid smiling. The bait & tackle shop was framed out 2×4’s, painted pressboard and a topped off with some scrape sheet metal. And no fishing theme would be complete without some water, so they just put down some large 20×40 ft tarps and secured the edges down with Gaffer’s tape.
