Glittery Pallets

Josh White from Paradise Church in Las Vegas, NV brings us their Christmas acoustic set design.

$0.00 Budget
5 Wood Pallets (came from landscaper)
5 strand of LED Christmas Lights (came from people in the church)
4 LED Spot Par cans crossing each other to create a wash effect on the back of their stage
2 Chauvet Intimidator Spot LED’s pointed down toward the stage using a spinning Dotted GOBO to create a snow type effect
Used graphics from illuminate.us (stations of the cross) as seen in picture 6

When Josh started creating this environment, he knew he wanted to go after 3 things: intimate, rustic, and organic. He wanted to do a medley of Christmas carols and melodies that people would feel comfortable sitting down and singing along with them. They only used an acoustic guitarist and three vocalists (all sitting on stools) and the three vocalists either had a shaker or a tambourine and played along while singing. They also eventually lifted up the middle screen and used the black back wall as an environmental projection surface. Then they used Stephen Proctors “Stations of the Cross” during the song “Mary Did You Know” and also used Camron Ware’s “Names of God (floating).
