Kids/Youth Designs

Everest

Shey Sims and Wanda Linnell from Faith Baptist in Bartlett, TN brings us this VBS set design.

This year for VBS, they went to Everest. The mountains were made out of 2″ and 1/2″ styrofoam that they burned with a hot knife and then painted with different shades of blue. They thought that the stage and lobby needed more color, so they painted different characters on styrofoam and set up 2 tents and lots of white sheets and batting. They also used a plane that they made for VBS “Sky” several years ago. It was also made out of styrofoam.

In the lobby area, they turned their Welcome Centers into a lodge, by again, using 1/2 ” styrofoam that they painted and burned with our hot knife to replicate logs. They also decorated the nursery and preschool areas.
