Build a Bridge

This sweet stage design comes to us from Shane Burdett and his team from Cape Christian in Cape Coral, Florida.

They were inspired by Andrew Hunt’s Taste the Rainbow stage and “The Bride” message by Willow Creek. This design used 1′ strips of white Coroplast stapled to 8″ long furring strips. The sides were lit from the top and bottom using 4 CromaQ Color Punch LEDs and the center was under lit with 5 COLORado™ Batten 72 TOURs.

The screen was 34′ wide and 9′ tall, made from stretched white fabric over a black wall. They used 3 BenQ SP920P projectors, edge blended using ProPresenter’s new edge-blend plugin. The bridge was custom made by their team and is 50′ long and 4′ wide. The blocks were made from 2″ thick insulating foam, sculpted with a hot knife and faux painted.

  1. Hey, AWESOME stage design. I love how they branched two separate concepts into one.
Can anyone give insight on how they hung the colorados behind the screen without and bleed through. we have a screen of basically the same dimension and i am wanting to somehow hang lights behind it to shoot down below it.

    • Thanks for the comment! It is hard to see in the picture but we used 2″x4″ framing to hold the coroplast off the wall and limit bleed. Also the unlighted center section was bleeding onto the projector so we ran a 12″ wide strip of white coroplast along the top of the center section. This worked great and also added a cool effect.

  2. Great design! We have a black back wall currently that we are wanting to do environmental projection on. My question is, were did you find the white fabric that you stretched on your wall? Our wall is roughly 36′ wide x 12′ high, so it’s a bit bigger and I am not sure where to get a single piece of fabric big enough. Any help would be great.
