Stage Designs

App Heaven

Another cool “App Wall“…this time from Mt. Airy Baptist Church in Easley, South Carolina. Lauren Shorter brings us this creative approach they use for their “Collide” service on Sunday mornings.

Each “app” is made up of separate square templates cut out of a white-board material. They cut the pieces with a jigsaw. Each panel is hung from above on a suspended horizontal black pipe. Individually each panel is connected together by white chain links that they cut to make a C-shape so that they could connect each square together.

The cross in the center was created by flipping over the white squares to display the brown back. What a simple and inexpensive stage design working really well for their small stage.

I like this simple design. Also, it shows that even when your church is small or portable, you can still do things with the stage. Thanks!

I love this. Where did you get the white board material, and how did you light it?

I want to say we got the material at a hardware store like Lowe’s or Home Depot. It’s actually these large panels of material used in bath tubs i believe. It is similar to white board material though.

Great design. What type of lights did you use?
