Throwback: All For One

Mark Yakey from Manchester Christian Church in Manchester, NH brings us this logo and light show in one! (Originally posted July 2011)

This stage design was their first attempt at directly linking the series graphics with the set design. The 12×22 flat was constructed of Luan and strapping. “one” was cut out of the wall and the center of the “O” was hung with fishing line – with “one” cut out of its center. The wall was painted flat black with satin white gradient rings painted on it.

The purple wash on the wall gave it a glow on the white gradient of the rings. Behind the wall, Rosebrand polysilk was hung on conduit about 2 feet behind the wall. They used PARNels behind the polysilk to give the letters color.

Could you give us more details on this. How was the O done and what materials were used?

I didn’t understand how the purple circle was made. Can you give more details?

    • Bom dia,

I did this a long time ago but from what I remember we just painted the wall black and then painted white circles on it. The purple is just lights on it with purple gels. The wall was made out of 1/4″ plywood with 2×4’s for strength. Behind the wall was a fabric that was highly reflective from Rosebrand. I can’t remember what it was now. The “O” center was hung with fishing line.
