5 Worship Slide Design Ideas

I’ve been out of the game for a while, but I recently was asked to start running ProPresenter again for my church. Part of what they’re looking for is unique slide designs. So I figured I’d share some of the projects I’m working with for my church with the CSDI community. Here are some slide designs for upcoming songs we’re doing.

I’ve included PSD downloads so you can check out the text formatting and design elements I’ve used. I’ve also included the font name I’m using for each design.

We use Visual Media Church almost exclusively at my church, so you if you want to grab these backgrounds, I highly recommend a premium subscription ($25/month). That gives you access to their full library. You can also buy them a la carte…I’ll link to each individual product page.

Song: Glorious Day
Background from Aerials Pack

Make a square with complimentary colors for your background. Use white letters within so they are visually dominant.

Song: Behold (Then Sings My Soul)
Background from Colors Extended Pack
Font: Northwell
Download the PSD

For this particular song, I actually reversed the play of a long-play inkdrop video. That way it feels like the ink is getting sucked upward. The Northwell font wouldn’t work well for all songs…but since the flow of the song is slow, I like it for Behold.

Background from Burst Pack
Font: League Gothic

I create two simple black boxes and align them with the text layer manually. You can do this in Photoshop or just in ProPresenter. Then you can duplicate the slide each time you add a new slide… It preserves the boxes and their location.

Song: Love on the Line
Background from Fog Pack

I’m a fan of adding a touch of complimentary color to your text layer. That’s what this small box to the right of the lyrics provides. Ties it all together while still keeping a high contrast between the background and the lyrics.
