Steven Hall from Northland Church in Longwood, Florida brings us these cool heart pieces.

They came up with this set for the their youth on Valentines Day.

They built the set from their 3′ x 3′ spandex frames and a roll of black butchers paper. They essentially made a real life mask then lit the set pieces. They got the Butcher paper at a local educational store and it cost under $100.

To build it, they projected their heart designs on to a piece of butcher paper (about 4′ x 4′). Then they cut the design out based on their image. They were able to cut 3 sheets at a time. Then they centered the cut sheets on each frame and attached them with staples.

Love this! I was looking for something to design the stage for our youth group for the Love Series in February! Looks like it won’t cost too much and shouldn’t take forever.

Any idea how much you spent overall?

    Shannan,

Thanks for your kind words. It was a great little set. We already had the spandex squares from a previous set (cost about $400 for 16 if i remember right) and we bought the black “Butcher Paper” for under $75.

You could probably do coroplast as a backing instaed and bring the cost down to under $250.

    Hope this helps.
