Kalum Cavazos from Relevant Church in Charlotte, North Carolina brings us their scaled version of Texturesized for their portable church.
The started with the weed block from Texturesized and painted some texture on it with semi-gloss house paint. They used an old broom in a swirl pattern to get the look they wanted. Then they gelled some Par64 cans to light the strips.
They also purchased stretch fabric from Rosebrand. They reinforced the corners with white duct tape and put grommets to hang. They hung it from the light bar in the auditorium and on the bottom used 5 gallon paint buckets with sand in them for weight.
Cost:
- Stretch Fabric – 15′x12′ – $130
- Weed Block – 50′ roll – $10
- Paint Buckets – $5 each
- Sand – $5
- Lights – already had
- Gels – $30 for 5 sheets with different colors
- Misc Hardware – $15
