Check out this stage design on a budget for a ski trip. Walt Anderson and Steven Rinaldi put this backdrop together for their student ministries’ ski trip to Ridgecrest, NC. Their focus for the trip was being “hidden in God”. This simple idea literally only required fabric, paint, and several stage lights. They had the students and leaders write down their age and aspirations…then had their designers paint them on the fabric.
Then they cut out the letters GOD in black fabric and placed them behind the white fabric. Simple.

I write and speak about the creative process – especially for churches. Call me a resource for the church creative wanting to make their ministry better.
Very Nice!! Great when you are a church plant and you need to make a cost effective backdrop. Thank you guys for posting this.
This may be a silly question, but was the backdrop illuminated from behind the three letters?
There are no silly questions :)It is lit from behind to get the silhouette look.
