Todd Bougher at The Rock Family Worship Center in Huntsville, Alabama brings us these awesome stage structures. If you notice, they’re all the same pattern formed out of MDF (medium-density fiberboard). Pretty cool design for adding a bit of depth to a flat stage (great for video recordings).

Hey Sean! Just spoke with Todd. He said he used large rolls of teacher paper from a teacher supply store (4' x 200' ArtKraft Duo-Finish paper white 0067004 (Heavy Weight)), seamed them together, then randomly stapled them to bulletin boards.
He said the better option would be to use paper for photography (a wider roll)…but teacher paper is cheaper. Hope that helps!
this is one of the simplest but classiest backdrop designs i have EVER seen. Cant stop looking! However, I’m curious to know how the circles were cut in the mdf & how they achieved the free-standing effect
Can you please explain how you seamed the papers together? I can't make sense of how you did that so that the overlap didn't show with the lightening. Also how you got the circle designs to stand up? Great design! We would like to try something similar but on a much smaller scale for a community project. Still trying to think all the details through! Thank you for your time.
